Stephanie Brewer, Deputy Director, NEWTOWN Community Development Corporation – Community Land Trust.
NEWTOWN’s Mission is to increase the supply of permanently affordable housing while developing and supporting home buyers through innovative programs and partnerships.
Stephanie will present on the overall master plan for the Tempe Micro Estates, including site and building design. The Micro Estate buildings are slightly larger than a typical “tiny House”. She will discuss how the Micro Estates fulfill a portion of the “Missing Middle” of housing and the use of the Micro Estates as an accessory dwelling unit. Stephanie will explain how the process was started with the City of Tempe and how the partnership between them works. She will also talk about Newtown and qualifying for this opportunity.
